Willie Will - Rhyme & Reason
Rhyme & Reason is the newest release from Seattle based mc, Willie Will. This is arguably his best work to date. As always, the stylistic diversity of Willie Will is in full effect on this record. Willie Will can rock the club with ease and at the same time he can have the underground heads nodding in full approval. Check the song “Turn It Around” with a “T-Pain-esque” hook (sung by Jazz Digga). This song should be a top 40 hit. But just when you think Willie has sold out and has no underground relevance, he hits you with “Spit Dat” featuring Braille and R-Swift. Willie Will brings out the full arsenal of heavy hitting guest spots. In addition to Braille and R-Swift, Willie enlists K-Drama, J. Johnson, muzeONE, Theory Hazit, Young Josh, ELOh and Jazz Digga to create what will surely become a classic. Enough can’t be said about the contribution of Jazz Digga to this project. It will be a crime if Jazz Digga does not blow up the R&B scene. Even with this “who’s who” list of guest spots, Willie Will is not for a second overshadowed. Willie Will is not only a true mc, he is an artist. A lot of people can rap, but how many can make great songs? Willie Will makes great songs that leave you thoroughly entertained and lifted in your spirit as well. Rhyme & Reason is one of those once in a career records. Willie Will has set the bar very high for the rest of his career so you definitely don’t want to pass on this record. -

Willie Will - Premeditated Worda
In 2009 Willie Will’s classic “Premeditated Worda” was re-released (originally released in 2003). This record blew up the Seattle hip hop scene gaining Willie Will strong local notoriety. This is the record that prepped Willie Will for the national scene. True to Willie Will’s form, Premeditated Worda has something for hip hop fans of any style. There is a little something for the club, some speaker bangers, and soulful vocal samples that set the tone perfectly for Willie’s wordplay. Willie Will is truly one of the most stylistically diverse mcs around. Imagine Kanye West and the Pharcyde were blended into one mc and you begin to see what Premeditated Worda has to offer. This is one of those rare records that even if it were released for the first time in 2009, it would still be a relevant record, and one that you wouldn’t want to pass up.
